RAGBRAI 7-24-07 Day 3

Another 75 mile day. I'm entering new territory now, never having peddled 3 consecutive 75 miles days in my life. Other than being very sore though, I feel pretty strong. My butt would like a day off the seat but the rest of me is ready to press onward. Tomorrow is "only" 60+ miles.

Had sweet Iowa corn-on-the-Cobb and a BIG slice of homemade cherry pie today for breakfast.

We rolled out of camp quite organized at 7am today. At least 100 of us, two abreast, black and yellow, flowing smoothly through a colorful maze of 10,000 other riders.

25 miles later the crowd of color thins and the Livestrong Express picks up steam. Some serious steam. Huge smiles on all our faces. We rocked.

Sun has set. Another cool breeze in camp LiveStrong tonight.

I signed up for a 30 minute massage with the camp masseuse tonight and it is nearly time. I need it.

So long from Iowa where pork is king, corn is a close second, and pie is the 5th food group.
